About NaviPress

NaviPress is your WYSIWYG authoring client for the World Wide Web. Designed to speed up and simplify Web site development, NaviPress helps you create your site and get it on the Web quickly.

Instant Web Publishing

1. NaviSoft's Public Server: create your page and publish it instantly. This service is free.
2. NaviService: save pages directly to your own Web site, hosted at NaviSoft.
3. NaviServer: create a robust Web application for your own corporate presence or internal enterprise server.

Templates and Clip Art

To jump-start your Web authoring efforts, NaviSoft provides templates for several types of pages. Simply open the template and modify it with your own text and images, or use images from the library of clip art included with NaviPress.

NaviPress includes several types of documentation and help, as well as a Quick Start tutorial. In addition, please see the Readme File for late-breaking information.

Network Connections and NaviPress

NaviPress works as an authoring tool with or without a network connection. When you want to use NaviSoft's instant publishing capabilities, however, you will need a network connection. If you are using NaviPress on Windows 3.1 and you installed it without a network connection, you must change your installation to use NaviPress over the Internet.

• Sign Up to receive updates and news from NaviSoft via email, or to join the NaviPress discussion forum.

If you do not want this Start Up page to display again, go to the Tools > Preferences > General menu and select one of three options for your Startup View:

• "Blank Page" for a new page on startup;
• "MiniWeb" for a new MiniWeb on startup; or,
• leave "Home Page" selected and type in the URL of the page you would like to open when you launch NaviPress.
